Updating Discord Server Settings and Interface for Improved onboarding and Community Integration

Description:

As the community grows, it is essential to ensure that new members can easily onboard and integrate with the existing community. Currently, the Discord server interface and settings are not optimized for this purpose. Therefore, I proposed updating the server settings and interface to make the on-boarding process smoother and facilitate community integration.

• Create a list of proposed features and functionality to be added to the server

• Prioritize the list based on user feedback, potential impact, and feasibility

• Begin implementing the features, starting with the highest priority items

• Test each new feature thoroughly to ensure it functions as expected and does not introduce any unintended issues or bugs

• Collect feedback from users and make any necessary adjustments to the new features based on their input

• Provide documentation for users on how to use the new features and functionality

• Set up the welcome message

• Set up the channels and tasks to be completed

• Created different roles, New and existing members can select from to help integrate them adequately into the community

Update.

Some improvements made include:

• Server Welcome Message: I updated the welcome message to the server that will automatically be sent to new members when they join. This message should provide an overview of the server rules, channels, and how to get started.

• Streamline Channel Organization: I simplified the channel organization to make it easier for new members to navigate and find relevant information.

• Currently creating an FAQ Section: Adding this frequently asked questions (FAQ) section to the server can address common questions new members may have.

• Working on Introducing a Mentor Program: Implement a mentorship program where new members can be assigned a mentor who can help guide them through the server and answer any questions they may have.

• Simplifed Permissions: I have also streamlined the permissions system to make it easier for new members to know what actions they can take and what they can't.

• This is my favorite part of the tasks. I am updating the Server Interface: Update the server interface to make it more user-friendly and intuitive. This will help new members get started quickly.

By implementing these improvements, I can help new members get started quickly and feel more welcome in the community. It will also help to facilitate better community integration and foster a more inclusive environment.
