After startup, the Severity column can indicate the *Unknown* state. This is expected behavior, caused by the fact that the Severity column will only be updated when an alarm trap is received. For example, when a *Major Open* alarm comes in, *Major* will be the severity. When after a number of minutes the same alarm comes in with the *Cleared* state, the new severity will be *Normal*.
