Insomnia 11.0.1 not loading on Windows

Expected Behavior

The app should load after loading screen.

Actual Behavior

After upgrading to the new version, getting this message after loading screen. I also tried unsinstalling and installing again from the website and I keep getting same issue.

I am with this problem too. Any solution for this?

Forcing finish in Task Management and trying to open Insomnia with Administrator solves the problem. I figure that can be some like cache or similar else.

My fix was to download the "11.0.0 📦" release and install for now. Works perfectly!

I think I've identified the issue, but just to confirm @nudge-ofer-rothschild @rodrigosoares67 @mrdrbrdr do you happen to have unicode characters in your Windows usernames?

Either way, could one of you provide these details?

• full output of dir "%LOCALAPPDATA%\insomnia\app-11.0.1\" from the command prompt
• list of antivirus software in use

I am having the same problem and my name doesnt contain any unicode chars.

When starting insomnia the first time it works without a problem. If I try to start a second instance it doesnt open with the already posted error.

@K2ouMais for now you can start a new instance from the menu with Window -> New, but I know why that's happening and will include a fix for that in the mentioned PR

I started having this issue with the latest update. Installing the older version works fine.

I do have some unicode characters in my user profile folder

@ryan-willis I don't have unicode characters in my name, just English letters and a space.
I use ESET antivirus.

@ryan-willis If I try to open several instances of the app at the same time, one of them succeeds. Very strange, but some kind of a workaround for now.
