Welcome to the ExchangeClone wiki!

This is where you can find information on every feature in ExchangeClone (unless I forgot one).

Note:

The wiki currently has no images. I am active working on adding screenshots as you are reading this (meaning that it's kind of unlikely that you are reading it at this time because "this time" is only going to be an hour or two).

Quick Start Guide

  1. Create a Philosopher's Stone, made with redstone and glowstone (MCL) or tin and obsidian (MTG) surrounding a diamond.
  2. Using stone and obsidian, along with the Philosopher's Stone, craft a Transmutation Table (the Philosopher's Stone is not consumed in crafting)
  3. Use the Transmutation Table to turn items into energy and energy into items. You can see the amount of energy you currently have in the bottom right.

About ExchangeClone

ExchangeClone started out as a clone of Element Exchange, a Minetest mod inspired by a MineCraft mod called Equivalent Exchange. Basically, Element Exchange added an Exchange Orb, an Element Deconstructor, an Element Constructor, and an Energy Collector. Putting an Exchange Orb into the Deconstructor along with some items filled the Orb with energy (and the items would disappear). Putting an Exchange Orb with energy into a Constructor would use energy in the Orb to duplicate items. Putting an Exchange Orb into an Energy Collector would store energy from sunlight in the Orb. Different items were worth different amounts of energy, meaning that you could turn (for example) a coal lump into multiple cobblestone.

The main reason I wanted to fork Element Exchange was to add MineClone2 support and improve energy values (originally, diamond blocks were worth less than diamonds, meaning that you could duplicate energy incredibly easily). Now, ExchangeClone has tons of new features from Equivalent Exchange and ProjectE (a newer remake of Equivalent Exchange). I've also fixed bugs and improved existing features. At this point, probably around 95% of the code is my own.
