WinMerge and Frhed

I created a frhed file (it.po) with some strings transslatedc (used in WinMerge)

and other window as explained here

I copied the it.po file in Frhed\Languges, run Winmerge -> Options and now I can see

Italian language for Frhed is recognized (yellow highlight).

The strings also if are tranmslated in it.po (for frhed) are showed in English (green highlight).

What's wrong?

Indeed, it was not displayed in Italian in my environment either. However, without investigating the reason, the updated it.po below shows Italian correctly as seen here (though the combo box height is slightly off...):

What kind of changes did you made on my it.po to enable showing in Italian?
I checked that now your file is formatted as UTF8 with BOM.
I tried to do it on my file but didn't work.
What other changes did you made?

The current it.po file was updated by running the following script:

For the differences, see below.
They mainly include changes such as CRLF to LF, UTF-8 to UTF-8 with BOM, comment updates, and line reordering.
