Hearthstone client crashes / freezes caused by Firestone #348
Comments
Hey, thanks for the report. |
It's random, game freezes / crashes at any point, any turn. The client might even freeze when I was trying to view my collections from the home screen.
I don't have RivaTuner / MSI AfterBurner installed, only GeForce Experience. And I'm playing fullscreen. And I wonder, if it's really graphics controller confliction, why doesn't the game crash until it has been running for ~1hour? And after Hearthstone client restart, it can work for another hour before the next freeze / crash. FYI: I've also reported via Firestone's builtin bug report form, maybe it has uploaded some useful info for analysis? |
I had a look at the logs you sent, but no info there, unfortunately. |
Could you also try to send me your full logs? See https://support.overwolf.com/en/support/solutions/articles/9000176827-how-to-get-your-overwolf-logs |
Actually, HDT might freeze / crash after playing for hours as well on my PC, but HDT only freezes / crashes itself, not the whole game. |
I've sent the logs to Overwolf and they are looking into it. They suggested it might be RivaTuner Statistics, but I told them you weren't using it. |
Have they got any clues yet? |
No, nothing unfortunately :/ |
Hearthstone client routinely crashes / freezes (stops responding with a busy mouse cursor) with Firestone running. (Routinely means once per hour or so).
Without Firestone running, the game never crashes (even with other deck trackers like HDT functioning), and it only freezes (client board status doesn't reflect server board status, but mouse cursor isn't busy) when opponent plays Orbital Halo which seems like Hearthstone's own problem.
I'm using Hearthstone CN client, and I don't have accounts on other servers.
And it's not just me, a few friends of mine (who are all playing on CN server) reported crashes / freezes with Firestone but none with other deck trackers.
Firestone has my favorite features like arena draft picks tracking, but now I'm forced to draft my arena deck with Firestone running, play one game (essential for this run to show up in the list) hoping the client won't crash, then exit Firestone and continue with HDT which is really annoying.
