It would be great if you have the option for a feature like "Stochastic Texturing" for selected areas (just selected regions of the terrain) or all the terrain or just specific textures. Ideally an opt-in setting that allows you to choose like "only material 1 / material 1,2" or "selected area" or "all the terrain".
