Trouble Installing JointJS Plus with Our Codebase (Node.js Version Compatibility Issue)

Introduction

We are facing difficulties installing JointJS Plus with our existing codebase. After troubleshooting, we suspect that the issue might be related to the Node.js version we are currently using (Node.js 12.19.0).

What is the recommended Node.js version for seamless integration with JointJS Plus?
Are there any known compatibility fixes or workarounds for older Node.js versions?
Has anyone else encountered similar installation issues? If so, how did you resolve them?
Additionally, we would appreciate any guidance on troubleshooting steps or official recommendations to resolve this issue.

This is the error I am getting

That's an old webpack issue. See #2551 (comment).

Tried the webpack configuration suggested on that ticket and still we are facing similar issues at other places, Do we have any other additional configurations to fix this completely?

Hi Gopi,

If some of the issues were resolved, that's an optimistic sign. I investigated this and it looks like adding an additional Babel plugin to the webpack configuration ('@babel/plugin-transform-optional-chaining') may solve the remaining issues.

Updating the webpack with 4.44.2 and updated few plugins fixed the issues
