Validations

  • I believe this is a way to improve. I'll try to join the Continue Discord for questions
  • I'm not able to find an open issue that requests the same enhancement

Problem

For now the MCP prompt is treated as slash command, i.e. /xxx. However, per MCP specification, it is also possible to have arguments for the prompts, which is not shown in the UI and not possible to define as for now (if I understand correctly and didn't miss anything).

Solution

My suggestion would be starting with a simple syntax, such as /xxx/a=b/c=d. Then it would be better to make a small form box for user to fill in the arguments.
