Could this use devtools getResources() to avoid re-downloading?

Since the re-downloading of images / resources seems to be a bit of a problem at times...

... could this be avoided by using devtools.inspectedWindow.getResources? Would it be worth building? It seems like it could make the extension a bit faster and much more reliable.

Major caveats I can see at the moment include:

• this is currently a Chrome-only feature, firefox does not yet support getResources
• devtools-extensions are inherently terrifying on a security/privacy level and the in-browser UX around this is intentionally very high friction, so this would likely remain a somewhat-extreme power-user feature
  • arguably these users should just use warc instead, but it's enormously complicated to view or analyze with normal tools because it's a history and not a rendered result.

This could be possible but most of the time, resources are already read from the browser cache actually. Also, you need to open the DevTools in order to be able to use chrome.devtools.inspectedWindow which makes this feature not very user-friendly unfortunately.
