I thought it might be great for someone who has some of the skills that follow, but not all of them, to know where to start filling the corresponding gap(s) before being able to use this book. For Unix shell commands, there is for example this, for HTML one could maybe point to the MDN HTML intro?
Considering the title "Software Design by Example", I was expecting something about reading code / code comprehension. But I assume the focus is more on "learning by doing", less on "learning by reading what others did"?
