There currently seems to be network issues with multiple parts of the Haskell ecosystem including https://discourse.haskell.org, but https://status.haskell.org still says everything is operational. Should status.haskell.org be extended?

Yes, I haven't noticed any problems on Discourse nor gitlab.haskell.org despite others reporting problems. Perhaps the problem was only experienced by some segments of the internet, and the system that is recording status is on a segment without problems.
Adding Discourse to the list of systems monitored sounds sensible.
