The problem

After my Automowers were installed in my garden yesterday, today I'm attempting to configure the Automower integration by following the steps in https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/husqvarna_automower . After entering the Client ID and Client Secret I got from the Husqvarna Developer Portal, and submitting, I get an error message "Unexpected Error" after about 1 second:

Nothing shows up in the System Logs since the integration hasn't been setup yet.

Additional information

Some additional things I think I should mention:

  • I happen to have 2 Automowers
  • I can see and control both mowers in the Husqvarna app just fine
  • I have also added Husqvarna Automower in Google Home and there both mowers are listed as "offline"
  • Yet, I can see in the Google Home app's Wifi section that both mowers are connected to wifi without issues, and also in Home Assistant I've created Pings for the IP addresses of both mowers, and both are connected.

Perhaps there is an issue in the Husqvarna backend that's causing issues for both Home Assistant and Google Home to access the mowers? Or perhaps a situation with more than 1 mower is not covered?

Hey there @Thomas55555, mind taking a look at this issue as it has been labeled with an integration (husqvarna_automower) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

Update: it may have been a backend issue at Husqvarna after all. Just now, when I happened to look at something in the Google Home app, I saw that the 2 mowers were showing as online and I could see their battery status and operation mode.

So I decided to try adding the Automower integration once more, and somewhat to my surprise, suddenly all the steps worked and my mowers showed up as devices with all the expected entities.

I'll come back to this issue in a couple of days to update it and close it if everything continues to work as it should.

I'm glad to be able to report that after the initial trouble adding the Automower integration, it has been working perfectly ever sinde I was able to add it at the second attempt.
