per repo config (autofetch, etc)

is there a per repo config? i read the config.md file and it mentions that autofetch is configurable in git.autoFetch so I thought neat I can git config --local git.autoFetch false in the repo i want it disabled.

but that does not appear to do anything.

You didn't read it carefully enough then, it explains how you create per-repo config files, right on the first page.

Let me know if you have trouble getting it to work.
