Gradle plugin: build promotion

I have done a search of this repository and read the documentation, however, it's not quite clear to me how I can promote a build (using the buildInfo) from the Gradle plugin. I have managed to do this rather trivially with the Jenkins pipeline plugin.

Before I plunge into writing a custom task to make a rest call I wanted to be certain I wasn't missing anything. :-)
