See the \spellmacro I use in hpmor-de and the check_chapers part

What alternatives have you considered?

You could consider adding a \think macro too

Thanks for raising this @entorb, I've taken a look at the latest German version and I like the idea of visually distinguishing spells from just saying the words.

That being said I haven't even finalised chapter 1 yet (although I hope to later today), and there aren't any spells (except for one Wingardium Leviosa in Ch. 2) for most of the first few chapters.

I think I'd rather focus on the translating for now, but once I start seeing more spells come up I'll come back to this.
