Way to add multiple commands and delay to a custom action?

With the ability to make custom actions for the FN keys I want to be able to open an application, wait a few seconds and then input a key. Is this possible or is it too much of a macro which is not the purpose of custom actions?

@johnydazzles hello, you can try to do a poweshell script or bat file to do that. But honestly I would just use Autohotkey that is literally designed for that kind of tasks.
