Is functions are supported in search post request?

Hello,
Iam trying to use function in cql2 filter on search endpoint. Is it supported? I see it conforms to http://www.opengis.net/spec/cql2/1.0/conf/functions but i cant manage to make it work. Can someone be helpful and share some examples or guidelines? Thanks

Iam looking for solution to use newly created DB function in cql2 filter or something else to solve my problem. As example: i want to filter by items in nested array. properties->itemsArray[{"score":15},{"score:20}]. is it possible to filter all items where itemsArray[*].score > 17 ?
Do i need to create an extension for search filter? or is it possible to do it just using existing version of stac-fastapi?
