All calendars events apply the default sharing settings (in my case show metadata only), regardless of who's viewing them:
Instead, if I'm viewing a calendar event I own then I should be able to view everything.
The behavior is the correct one on emails.

Hey, no it's not? You probably have the wrong sharing settings on the connect account that pulled this event. Are you sure it's the correct one?
