.Net MAUI for Windows & Linux

Hi,

How can i modify the default UNO/Maui project so that even if launching on windows desktop or Linux(Raspberry Pi) it will use only the Embedded .net MAUI .

Thanks for the question! Uno's MAUI Embedding is not available on net9.0-desktop targets (windows, macOS or Linux), it is only available for net9.0-ios, net9.0-android and net9.0-windowsX.XXX.

Which control are you trying to use?

Well i have have developed an entire PC program with .net MAUI that incorporates maps and all the bindings.
I would have been great to just import those files to the new Linux app so that i can use them but also get the peripherals from the PI working in it.
I am developing an Hardware monitor that will use i2c UART and other functionalities of the PI.
I also need to be able to update this app in remotely from a server.
I was looking at Meadow Cloud to achieve this but cannot find any examples.

MAUI Embedding literally only embeds existing MAUI controls, and because MAUI only supports Windows, Android and iOS, it is not possible to embed them on other targets unfortunately…

For the remote update scenario, Uno Platform currently does not provide a built-in support. However, as the resulting library on Linux can be packaged as any Linux app would, you might be able to use some general approach.

Which library are you using for your maps? We suggest to use MapsUI.

We've been working on including templates support meadows support for Uno, you can take a look at the work in progress in unoplatform/uno.templates#1193 by @Takoooooo.
