Is this projectd DEAD? Or an "academic" demo (or a school project) ?

Nothing has been done on this in > 2 months and there is no support for Windows. It looks like the project is DEAD.

The goals and concepts are nice, but it must implement everything with conda and Windows to have a large audience. This is proof of robustness and willingness to support mainstream users. Mac-only or Linux-only support is too academic, not mainstream.

I gave up and moved on to other RAG application kits. There are SO many to choose from.

I will wait until there is renewed activities by the project owner or other developers who have forked it and are fixing basic core problems and actively extending it for Windows.

I installed and ran it on Windows, it has many advantages, however I found the system to be a bit slow, not optimized for speed, reloading a lot of things, not separating backend and frontend separately.
If the system optimizes speed, using Backend API I think it will be better
