| En 2022, se organizó el primer Simposio de Estudiantes Hispanohablantes de Bioinformática y Biología Computacional (SEH2Bioinfo), marcando un hito como el primer evento en bioinformática con una colaboración extensa entre los Grupos Regionales de Estudiantes (RSGs) de habla hispana. Participaron los RSGs de Argentina, España, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Perú, y con colaboraciones secundarias de RSG Costa Rica y RSG México. Este evento fue un esfuerzo conjunto para promover el plurilingüismo y la diversidad lingüística en el ámbito científico y en bioinformática, eliminando barreras para el acceso a la comunicación científica y la presentación de trabajos en congresos internacionales. | ||

| El Simposio tiene como objetivo crear un espacio de encuentro donde el español sea el idioma principal, celebrando su diversidad etnolingüística y su poder comunicativo. Se busca fomentar la inclusión, facilitar el acceso directo al conocimiento y promover la participación activa de estudiantes de todos los niveles, desde la secundaria hasta la universidad, así como de investigadores hispanohablantes de todo el mundo. | ||

| Este evento contribuirá a la formación de nuevas redes de contacto y colaboración académica, ampliando las oportunidades de transferencia de conocimiento y fortaleciendo las bases del método científico en sectores sociales diversos. Además, impulsará el desarrollo de la investigación en Bioinformática y Biología Computacional a nivel global. | ||
