If you experience a problem installing or using Next Loader, please file a bug report!

Be sure to include all the information requested by the Issue Template, and a complete description of the problem you experienced. Also include any log file generated by Next-Loader — currently there is none, but there should be one in a future release.

First, a few quick questions:

  1. Is your system anything other than a Mac Pro 5,1 (or a MacPro4,1 that has been firmware-updated to 5,1)? If so, please don’t submit a bug report now, the development focus is on getting these systems working first.

  2. Does your GPU have Mac EFI ROM (either sold by Apple or flashed to provide boot screens)? If not, then please don’t submit a bug about the black screen during booting. This should be fixed in a future release.

  3. Did you install Next Loader on an NVMe drive? If so, please don’t submit a bug about Next Loader not running. You must install it on a SATA HDD, a SATA SSD, a drive connected to a built-in USB 2.0 port, or a PCIe AHCI SSD.

NOTE: Next Loader can be installed on an NVMe drive if your BootROM has been modified to include the NVMe Driver in your Mac firmware.
