The changes to the original config.json files is to allow users to safely transition from matrix.org to a more versatile public Matrix homeserver like nope.chat which does not freeze occasionally like matrix.org. Plus, since nope.chat has a default file size limit which is 5 times larger than matrix.org, this change allows users to seamlessly transition to this new homeserver by including it as default.

We are not related to nope.chat and we can't choose it as a default home server since we don't know the organisation behind this homeserver. Matrix.org is crowded but guarantee a safe home server for new unaware users.

i see, although matrix.org may have its own limitations as well, such as the 100MB file size limit makes it unappealing especially for those who want to seek for a complete, seamless replacement for proprietary apps like teams of discord nitro ? plus matrix.org can freeze multiple times especially when we had to log in our old account and it froze unexpectedly despite having decent internet connection.
