Motivation
After setting up
litestreamin my Rails app with this gem, I stumbled when trying to deploy and received this message:Mitigation
I set the environment variables anew and everything worked well. Had I followed the code in the initializer, everything would have worked out of the box, but I was following the README and got a bit confused.
Resolution
This update to the README clears up the deprecation issue I faced while deploying, and should help onboard future developers.
