C-GEN: The easy code generation tool! C-GEN is designed to autogenerate boring, repetitive code. Simply write some Lua, and the power of C-GEN will spit out code! USAGE: cgen [OPTIONS] SOURCE [TARGET] Ommiting the target will use in-place mode, where SOURCE is modified with the output. Options: -p - use python style breaks -c - use c-style breaks (DEFAULT) -b - output breaks SYNTAX: Normal Lua syntax, with a twist: lines that start with a ',' will be directly outputed. Putting "%i%" will insert the value of "i" in the output. Ex: ,Hello World! local i = 0 while i < 2 do ,HELLO %i% i = i + 1 end Outputs: Hello World! HELLO 0 HELLO 1 HELLO 2 BREAKS: Want to have a large block of code directly outputed without any variables interleaved and without typing ',' too often? Use breaks to turn scripting on and off! Ex: //@END this will be directly pasted ,this will also be pasted //@BEGIN ,this will be scripted Outputs: this will be directly pasted ,this will also be pasted this will be scripted BREAKSTYLE: Using a non-c-style language? Use -p to change to python-style breaks: "##@END" and "##@BEGIN" DEBUG OUTPUT: In C-GEN, the Lua's print statement is redirected to the output file, so use "debug" to print to stdout. COMPILING: C-GEN will work with most lua5.*'s, but is only supported on lua5.1. To compile, simply run "make"
