Python to PovRAY

I'm not sure where this is heading, at one time I thought hmm I've created a processing to PovRAY library, how cool would it be to do the same for pyprocessing. But I'm not so sure now, so for the moment all I've done is resurrect an old python recipe, added a few features and and started to experiment. I'm torn between fleshing out some 3D environment, where objects are just placed in 3D space or go the whole hog and create a scene building tool with matrix transforms. Even if there was an easy way to get hold of raw vertex data from say pyprocessing (as with vanilla processing up to to version 1.5.1) would that be desirable?
