The Smartphone Brain Scanner 2 (SBS2) is a software platform for building research and end-user oriented multi-platform EEG applications. The focus of the framework is on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) and on consumer-grade and mobile neurosystems. SBS2 is freely available under MIT License.

The Smartphone Brain Scanner framework is divided into three layers: Low-level data acquisition, data processing, and applications. The first two layers constitute the core of the system and include common elements used by various applications.
