Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) is a 5.3'' smartphone running Android. It features easy rooting procedure, unlocked bootloader, fast processor and nice screen.

Required Hardware

Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 uses micro usb OTG cable for connecting USB devices. Such cables can be cheaply obtained from Amazon, for example this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005OOJPKS

Preparing Device

  1. Root device using these instructions.

  2. Install [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.rommanager ROM Manager], open it and flash ClockworkMod Recovery.

  3. Install Cyanogenmod (method via recovery).

  4. Install GL_NOTECORE_HYDRACORE_hopbeat_STD.zip from Downloads (copy it to your phone, boot to recovery, chose install from zip).

  5. If you lose root, download Root_SuperSU.0.95.Only-signed.zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360, put it on sdcard and install it from CWM recovery. This will bring the root back.

At that point, when Emotiv EPOC USB dongle is connected, it will be mounted in /dev/hidraw1 and can be read by SBS2 applications.
