General Description

Training Behavior Models tab is used in order to create the activity models from the events imported or detected for each appliance. It is comprised by 4 different panels, each used for choice selection or data visualization.

  1. Training Parameters Panel: This panel is used for choosing the distributions that will be used for the training models. There are 3 different choices: Histogram, Normal Distribution and Gaussian Mixture.
  2. Appliance/Activity Selection Panel: Here is the list of the appliances that are detected (which are the same with the appliances of the previous tab) or the activities that were identified during the disaggregation process. These activities encapsulate the installation's detected appliances.
  3. Distribution Preview Panel: After training a behavior model, this panel presents the distribution produced during the training procedure. There are 4 buttons, each corresponding to a distribution: Daily Times, Duration, Start Time and Start Time Binned Distribution.
  4. Consumption Model Panel: Same as the previous page. In case of an activity, the panel presents the consumption model of the first appliance in the activity's appliance list.

Usage workflow

The main usage workflow is as follows:

  1. The user choices an appliance/activity from the list and then the type of distributions he would prefer for the training procedure. Then, he either presses the Train or Train All button to produce the expected behavior models.

  2. In the end of the training, the distributions are graphically presented in the Distribution Preview panel and the buttons for choosing which distribution should appear are enabled.
