Newsletter Sending

Approved newsletters that are not yet complete can be sent, or resumed, while browsing the Newsletter Queue. At any time during sending the newsletter can be paused, and then resumed later by returning to the queue.

Note: Newsletter emails are only sent while the sending progress is being monitored. This page must remain open in your browser for emails to be sent and the sending must be monitored until completion for the mailing to be sent to all subscribers.

##Controls

• Send Icon - Click this icon to being or resume sending of the newsletter.
• Pause Icon - Click this icon to pause sending of the newsletter.

Sending Newsletter

• Subject - The subject line of the newsletter.
• Mailing Size - The total number of emails being sent.
• Progress - The current status and progressing of the mailing.

The Progress Bar

In addition to showing the current progress of the mailing, the progress bar also shows the state of the mailing (in progress/paused) as well as any errors that may arise while the mailing is being processed.

Sending Completion

There is more to the sending newsletters then just creating emails. The progress bar measures sent emails. Once it reaches 100% please wait until you are notified (via a dialog window) that the sending is complete so that the final clean-up and management process can be performed. Navigating away from the page before this clean-up can be completed will result in the Newsletter Queue containing 100% completed “in progress” newsletters.

In the event that a newsletter is listed as “in progress” with a progress of 100% pause the newsletter then resume sending so that final clean-up can be performed and the newsletter can be moved to the completed queue.

The Phantom Pause

While sending a newsletter you may see it become paused even though you did not pause it. Any admin user with newsletter access browsing the Newsletter Queue can pause a newsletter that is in progress.
